Big Medium’s Austin Studio Tour had to change their format this year, due to Covid-19, but they launched gallery tours virtually and self-guided tours outdoors. Every time the East Austin Studio Tour rolls around I never see everything I want to. Between the crowds, traffic, sometimes rain, poor signage and impatient drivers, I end up focusing on larger galleries where I can see the most on foot. I hope one day they break the tour down seasonally, because right now there are 277 Artist studios, 67 Galleries, 185 Exhibitions, 42 Happenings and 10 Libraries. Wow. Good luck seeing all that in two weekends.
